The annual MBA Stock Pitch Challenge provides a forum for first year full-time MBA students from two-year programs to compete and showcase their stock-picking skills in front of a panel of distinguished judges.

The event challenges teams of finance students from 10-12 top MBA programs to prepare and present buy/hold/sell recommendations and vigorously defend them. Judged by a panel of investment industry experts, the intense competition is designed to replicate the fast-paced, demanding experience of sell-side and buy-side analysts and asset managers.

In addition to gaining valuable experience and competing before judges, MBA students have a chance to shine before prospective employers. Recruiters from sponsoring firms shop for top talent. As one judge commented, “There’s no one I wouldn’t hire.”

The names of the winning schools are inscribed on the Jack M. Ferraro Trophy, which honors the lead individual sponsor, a Johnson alumnus. The SPC is generously supported by sponsors from the investment industry.
